MEEDEN 6-Drawer Artist Supply Storage Box, Dark Walnut

I’m extremely happy with this purchase after trying a different brand (the clear raw wood drawer in my photos) this one has superior manufacturing quality with a perceivable smoother opening and close and small finish like parallel drawers lids when seen laterally as you can compare them in my images.

Handle:
On top of that this product circular handle is miles better than the plain flat wood which is too smooth without any carvings to help you grip using two fingers while opening the drawer it just slips so you actually need to grab them left and right instead of top/bottom to use the raw exposed wood grains as gripping texture.

Drawer functionality: the drawer tolerances are superior I don’t feel the left-right jiggle of my other model that sometimes makes the drawer to get stuck halfway.

Finishing: The clear wood one also feels somewhat unfinished lacking a minimally expected hand of clear varnish to boost the wood durability.

Drawer compartment size:
Surprised how good it is for calligraphy stuff. For example you can pile LAMY cartridge boxes and fit them perfectly either in “portrait or landscape” as you see in my photos. I bought little plastic boxes of 0. 7” height they fit perfectly. I’m not sure 0. 8” height will make it I wouldn’t try.

I will be buying this again and plan to ditch the clear wooded one but I wish they offered at least one model comprising one oversized (taller) drawer like the one in my clear wood for stuff like a Sharpie magnum that won’t fit in these.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE ORDERED THESE DRAWERS FROM MEEDEN. THIS UNIT IS COMPOSED OF TWO 5 DRAWER UNITS. THEY CAN BE STACKED AND KEPT JOINED THANKS TO SMALL PEGS PROVIDED WITH THEM. OTHERWISE THEY COULD BE USED SIDE BY SIDE. IDEAL FOR PENCILS SMALL ART BRUSHES AND PASTEL CHALKS OR WAX CRAYONS. THEY WILL ACCOMODATE LARGER SOFT PASTELS SUCH AS UNISON MOUNT VISION AND JACKSON'S. THE UNITS I RECEIVED WERE PROPERLY PACKAGED WITH FOAM INSERTS ALL AROUND AND ARRIVED IN PERFECT CONDITION.

Perfect for organizing oil pastels pencils. . . whatever! And the drawers come out to bring to another part of your art studio if needed.

The box is pretty and has so many compartments to hold my supplies neat and organized! Each thing has its own place . . . not laying around on my desk! I put parchment in each slot as recommended by someone else who reviewed it. That took a while but oil pastels are messy! Anyway I love my box and likely will get another.

This is the perfect size for what I needed. I have limited desk space so the flat top that can be stacked on is great. The drawers are exactly the right size for all of my oil pastels hard pastels other drawing tools and my calligraphy set. I love that the drawers easily come all the way out so I can just take the tray I need.

Just what I was lookin for. I am storing set of 72 pastel pencils and there is still one draw that is empty but potentially can store 28 more.

I can now place my watercolor tubes in an attractive case. i will place the 5 mil. In the top drawer and the 15 mil in the other drawers. That is the only restrictions. It will be easy to check my many colors.

This pencil chest is perfect for my artwork supplies. I purchased two of them and I love them. They are well made however the packaging is not adequate.

I purchased two 6-draw cabinets so I'd have some flexibility as to where I put them but ended up stacking them. The drawers are divided just enough that my pastel pencils and hard pastel sticks stay in their allotted spaces but not so much that it limits space available. The drawers are easily lifted out and re-inserted. I dedicated one drawer to miscellany pastel pencil sharperers and blades charcoal sticks small utility brushes. They are too shallow and short to hold much besides pencils (not even long brushes will fit) but pencils and hard pastel sticks were what I bought them for and I love having them accessible but organized attractively.

Das kleine Holzteil in Schubladen ist leider nicht regulierbar deswegen nicht jede Farbstiefte passen. Sonst gute verarbeitung man kann das auch stapeln. Es ist aber aus richtigen Holz- deswegen schwer.

I use mine to store pens rather than brushes. The drawers each have subdivided compartments and together they make organisation of content very easy with only space for one layer within each drawer. It's well-made and looks good on my desk.

Very nice quality. I am using for a collection of vintage brooches and it works well except for a few that have a higher profile than the others. Am very happy with this product.

I have purchased four of these pencils storage units over the past several months and they have been an excellent investment! For one they are absolutely gorgeous with a classic design that is very very elegant. For two they hold A LOT of pencils - it really is the most efficient way to store pencils that keeps them easily accessible. Finally they are extremely well-made. I expect I will be using these storage units for the rest of my life and will gladly will them on to the next generation. Overall worth every single penny! Highly highly recommend!

This is a must for any artist studio. I love mine and probably buy a second one soon.

I have the dark walnut so beautiful but the top drawer won’t close with a 15 mil.. tube of paint it’s just a tad too high lying on its side but they work in the other drawers so.i only have 5 mil tubes in the top that’s the only thing I’m disappointed in.

So happy I found this box for my supplies! It will be great to have!
