Started painting with watercolor in 2025. I was working with various plastic mixing palettes. Then I found MEEDEN’s ceramic tray palettes. These were a game changer for me. I use a separate tray for mixing for each watercolor painting. This way I can paint several paintings at the same time while maintaining my mixed colors. The price is good and the quality is GREAT! NO more stained palettes since they clean up beautifully just with water. . Plus I can save each mixing palette until my painting is complete.

I love this ceramic tray!! It's the perfect size to hold and mix my water color paint and the ceramic doesn't stain, so I can just wipe it off and mix different colors. It's also a great size to fit on my desk. Love it!

This palette is a wonderful fit for me. I was using a ceramic plate but the glaze wore off and the watercolors were staining it. I couldn't tell what shade the paints were. I ordered the 10x7" palette which is a perfect fit. Well made and has a small lip around the edges to keep the paint in. Cleans easily and fits perfectly into my small work space.

I loved this so much I bought it twice. There is nothing to match the quality of porcelain as a surface for mixing strong colours. It is utterly inert so does not discolour even with the most staining of pigments. this gives it a great advantage over all the other alternatives. It is also very environmentally friendly as it does not need replacing and will become an heirloom piece unless it gets broken. (but it does seem tough). The lip is quite slight so it is not really a bowl more a plate with a distinct lip. Just right for clearing the brush of excess paint. This has become my go-to palette when using wide brushes: anything over half an inch right up to three inches. Watercolour & Acrylic.

This is my second one as the first one holds my water jars. I’ve used other sizes of palettes from Meeden but this one makes mixing colors effortless. I find that I use less paint pigment on this tray than ones with multiple wells. I really like that the size is just perfect for my watercolor table set up! Thank you Meeden for producing these stain free ceramic palettes!
